MINUTES March 31 , 1994 7 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Executive Secretary as Chief Procurement Officer to select <br /> the appropriate company. <br /> Mr. Evans commented, "If we have the Executive Secretary <br /> render a decision then we must have a written quote from Mr. <br /> Watts. " <br /> Mr. Ball recommended the Board render a decision as <br /> there are only two interested parties. <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "If we do that then what we need <br /> to do is prepare a "Request for Proposal" where we state a <br /> certain amount of yards must be screened. " "One amount must <br /> be submitted to cover the entire process and it must be com- <br /> pleted by an allotted time frame. " "All equipment must be <br /> provided and the site must be left in acceptable condition, <br /> etc. " "I am still not comfortable with this Board rendering <br /> a decision. " "I would recommend we request the Chief Pro- <br /> curement Officer to render a decision. " <br /> Mr. Ball agreed." <br /> Mr. Doherty directed the Agent to inspect the composting <br /> area to -determine the amount ready to be screened. "Once <br /> completed we will forward a letter to the interested parties <br /> stating this Board is soliciting proposals to screen a cer- <br /> tain amount of compost material. " <br /> Board members agreed to continue this matter until next <br /> week's meeting. <br /> Being no further business Mr. Ball motioned to adjourn this <br /> meeting at 8 : 54 p.m. , Mr. Doherty seconded. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Veronica Warden, Adm.
