MINUTES May 12 , 1994 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "Any correspondence to Mr. Haney <br /> or any of his agents shall be done by certified mail . " "It <br /> has come to this Board's attention that Mr. Haney is four <br /> months behind in trailer taxes. " "This matter will be con- <br /> tinued pending lab results. " <br /> Food Service Fees <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "I did a survey of all service sta- <br /> tions and found that less material is being displayed and <br /> sold now then was in the previous survey two years ago. " <br /> Mr. Ball directed Mr. Evans to inspect the video stores <br /> for the amount of packaged foods being sold. <br /> 64 Sunset Strip <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "After receiving a complaint _I in- <br /> spected the site. " "The owner and landlord will receive a <br /> letter from this Board stating that the septic system is in <br /> failure and they have 10 days to submit an inspection report <br /> from a licensed pumper and based on that inspection report <br /> they will be forced to either pump or upgrade the system to <br /> Title V requirements." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> jrriagtign Well - Hooppole Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "We received v.o.C. results on the <br /> irrigation well which was approved by this Board. " "Tests <br /> revealed fuel contaminants." <br /> Mr. Doherty directed Mr. McQuaid to forward a letter to <br /> the owner stating based on v.o.c. test results this Board is <br /> hereby condemning the irrigation well and orders its immedi- <br /> ate closure, capping or removal. <br /> Agreed. <br /> Well Drilling Policy <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to adopt a policy whereby all wells <br /> (irrigation, monitoring and/or drinking water) drilled in the <br /> town of Mashpee will require a permit from the Board of <br /> Health, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> Mr. Doherty directed the health agent to notify all lo- <br /> cal well drillers in writing of the policy. <br />
