" "The new location requires a 22' <br /> local variance from the abutting leaching facility, (lot 13 ) , <br /> to the proposed on-site well and a 33' local variance from <br /> the abutting leaching facility, (lot 11) , to the proposed <br /> well . " <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant the variances as stated by <br /> Mr. McQuaid with the stipulation the owner sign the affidavit <br /> which requires public water hookup once available, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded. <br /> 10. ) Memo re: Selectmen liaison - Acknowledged. <br /> 11 . ) Copy-of press release re: ponds - Acknowledged. <br /> 12. ) Pond Task Force meet' 7/12Z94 - Acknowledged. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Memo re• Ponds <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The memo indicates the ponds are <br /> safe to swim in and the fish are safe to eat. " "The A.P.C.C. <br /> is of the opinion the mussels should not be consumed as they <br /> are extremely hazardous to your health. " "In my opinion, the <br /> Board should not change their stance as no one, to my knowl- <br /> edge, eats the mussels. " <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> 323, HoopRole Road (irrigation well] <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Stetson Hall did forward a draft <br /> letter which states his position is the same as this <br /> Board's. " "I would recommend we forward a letter to the <br /> owner reiterating our position that the well must be decom- <br /> missioned. " <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> Emerggncy failure - 9 Woodland Avenue <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "I inspected the site and found the <br /> system in failure.
