people don argue about it too much - $1 .20 sq . ft . For communitX type
projects its good but Tony wasn't sure that it would be a bene4it to
smaller projects.
Vouise - "How do you define a smaller project?" Commented that it
would cut insurance costs.
-Tony mentioned in larger complexes it"s worthwhile; there would be
advocates for the smaller situatinn .
-Louise asked about the number W buildings involved.
-Tony asked "Do we have the 'ability to approve MultWamily development
on individual lots?" Answer : 20 acre minimum,
-Tom commented that it's a function of square footage, 4 of units,
density of project and proximity,
-Tony asked that criteria be developed. Discuss with Chief .
-Judy questioned W they were asking by bylaw or regulations.
-Tony answered either bylaw or standard procedures in Special Permit .
-Tom commented that town bylaw is the best place to put it ; conditions
must agree .
-Tony asked "How did we leave it with the Chief?" Asked if he should:
call the chief and tell him that the board agreed with the concept, but
there is a question as to where it applies and where it doesn't . Ask
the chief to submit a draft of the type of bylaw he would like to see
applied, and what the threshold limits would be i .e . Unit sizes,
Vouise said a 3-way table would give flexibility within the system.
7om Fudala, the Town Planner , proposed several articles to the Board.
(1 ) Transfer $10,000 from the Engineering Department Salaries Account
to the Planning Board Consulting Engineer Account . All board members
were in favor of transfering the entire $16,000 that had been removed
and instructed Tom to Me the article with that number .
(2) Concerning the Assistant Planner candidatei he changed his mind and
will not be taking the position so there will not be a now Assistant
Planner until December , at least , Tom asked the board to co-sponsor an
article to change the salary from Grade 11 to Brade 13 so that we can
attact and keep better qualified candidates. Also asked the board to
co-sponsor an article to fund a consultant to do the Harbor Managaament
Plan.
