Article 74 (continued) <br /> Run south of Route 28, Shoestring Bay (that part of Popponesset <br /> Bay above Simons Narrows) and their adjacent wetlands, in order <br /> to permit a review by appropriate Town boards , agencies and con- <br /> sultants of the present regulations and controls governing such <br /> construction or development for the express purpose of protect- <br /> ing the health , safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the <br /> Town in as much as the Town has no municipal water supply or <br /> sewage treatment facility and has experienced deteriorating <br /> groundwater and surface water quality. Said moratorium shall <br /> not apply to any division of land or special permit where all <br /> portions of the site which is within the above-described areas <br /> are to be preserved for undistrubed (sic) natural open space. <br /> Said Moratorium shall expire two years from the date of the <br /> Town Meeting at which it was adopted, during which time the <br /> appropriate Boards and agencies shall develop and cause to be <br /> enacted any regulations found necessary to ensure the health, <br /> safety and welfare of the 'inhabitants of the Town with regard <br /> to groundwater and surface water quality in the above-described <br /> areas . <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Nbtion to indefinetly pos4 a-e. <br /> Nbtion carries. 252 yes - 154 no. 9:15 FM. <br />
