m Barnstable, ss: To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: I'n the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , you are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the election, to meet at the Mashpee `diddle School on `lenday, the second day of May P 83 , at 7: 30 o'clock p.;m. for the following purposes: To act on the Articles contained in the following warrant . To meet at the i,,•.�n Hall the following Saturday, May 7 , 1�83 , to bring in their votes for the election of the following officers and questions: One 4oderacor for three years; one Selectman for three year term; One Assessor for three year term; One Board of Health member for three years; one Tax Collector for three years; One Treasurer for three years; Two Library Trustees for three years; One Planning Hoard member for five years; One School Committee member for three years; One School Comsniccee member for two years unexpired term; Two Finance Committee members for three years; One Finance Committee member for two years unexpired term; One Finance Committee member for one year unexpired term; Four Housing authority members. YES NO �.�X RY: the pr:posed charter provides for a selaccman-administrator form of government. he _,pen town .:ieeting remains as the Town' s legislative body. In the executive -inch, the 3oard of Selectmen is increased from three to five members, .and r_he board is directed to appoint a town administrator. Three of the five members of the Board of Selectmen are to be elected from precincts, and two :embers are to be elected at large. The school c=mittee remains as it is currently. Other elective offices are moderator, co•.:n clerk, planning board, board of Library trustees, finance committee and housing authority. All other officers are appointed. BALLOT QUESTION No. 2 Shall the Town of Xashpee be allowed to assess an adJitional $102, 100 in real estate and personal property taxes for the fiscal year beginning July first, nineteen hundred and eighty-three, YES NO The polls will open at 10:00 o'clock a.m. and will be closed at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
