Article 52. • <br /> To see if the Town will vote to delete Secti,; i 10, <br /> "Si ns" of the Town of Mashpee Zoning by-laws acid adopt a new <br /> Section 10 , Signs as follows : <br /> Intent <br /> It is the intent of this by-law to protect, conserve, and <br /> improve the unique visual quality of the Town of %4ashpee <br /> while providing reasonable regulations and control of the <br /> erection and maintenance of signs and advertising devices <br /> without restricting the conduct of lawful enterprise. <br /> .1 No sign or advertising devices of any kind or nature shall <br /> be erected on any premises or affixed to the outside or any <br /> structure or be visible from the outside of any structure <br /> in Mashpee except as permitted by this section. i <br /> I <br /> i <br /> . 2 Plans, S ecifieations acid 2er*rii is <br /> . 2.1 Owner's consent: Before any permit is granted for the erection <br /> of a sign, plans and specifications shall be filed with the <br /> building inspector showing the dimensions, materials and <br /> required details of construction, including loads, stresses <br /> and anchorage: The applications shall be accompanied by the <br /> written consent of the owner or - lessee of the premises upon <br /> which the sign is to be erected. <br />,. 2.2 New signs: A new sign shall not hereafter be erected, constructed, <br /> altered or' maintained except as herein provided and until after <br /> a permit has been issued by the building official, and the bond, <br /> if required shall have been filed in accordance with Section 10.8. <br /> .2. 3 Alterations: A sign shall not be enlarged or relocated except <br /> in conformity to the provisions of this article for new signs, <br /> nor until a proper permit has been secured. The changing of <br /> movable parts of an approved sign that is designed for such* <br /> changes, or the repainting or reposting of display matter, shall <br /> not be deemed an alteration; provided the conditions of the <br /> original approval and the requirements of this article are <br /> not violated. <br /> 1.2.4 Signs exceeding twenty (201 square feet require a special <br /> permit from the Board -.)E a�)cats, in accordance with Section 6. <br />
