Members express preference for the first Tuesday of the month <br />ii. Mr. Tutor requests April meeting remain the second Tuesday of the month <br />1. Committee agrees to the proposed changes <br />b. Future Agenda Topics: <br />i. Suggestion: List of proposed town properties for affordable housing <br />c. Committee Recruitment: Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary <br />i. Mike Sparks expressed interest in joining the committee, background in <br />governance from his involvement with the Southport Community <br />ii. Recognizes the critical need for affordable housing in the town and is <br />willing to learn and contribute. <br />iii. Committee discussed appointment process and evaluation <br />d. Mary Waygan – Presentation on Technical Support <br />i. Housing Production Plan Discussion: Information is provided by Ms. <br />Waygan on Barnstable County’s shared housing program <br />ii. Discussed using 30 hours of technical support to complete housing <br />production plan <br />iii. Plans needs revisions to address water quality concerns <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> <br /> Environmental Concerns and Affordable Housing <br />o Discussed impact of residential development on water quality <br />o Emphasized need for strategic approach to affordable housing and environmental <br />protection <br />o Mentioned potential regional housing project on military reservation land may <br />involve collaboration between state and local governments to address affordable <br />housing needs <br />o The project could leverage existing infrastructure and resources on the military <br />reservation to create sustainable housing solutions for the community <br />o Engagement with local stakeholders and residents will be crucial to ensure the <br />project meets the needs and concerns of the community while adhering to <br />environmental regulations <br /> Action Items <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
