Mashpee Historic District Commission Minutes of Meeting January 14,2021 Mashpee Town Hall Virtual/Remote Meeting—Call-In (646)558-8656 Historic District Commission Members Present: Chairman Earl Mills, Sr., Dennis Balzarini, Brian Hyde and Maureen Paxton Also: Evan Lehrer,Town Planner Absent: Michael Robbins and Bradford Pittsley CALL TO ORDER The Town of Mashpee Historic District Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Mills at 9:08 AM on January 14, 2021. OTHER BUSINESS Chairman Mills opened the meeting by announcing that he was stepping down as Chairman of the Historic District Commission and then invited nominations to fill the position. MOTION: Mr. Balzarini nominated Mr. Hyde to serve as Chairman. Mr. Hyde then asked if Mr. Balzarini would be interested in serving as Chairman. His response was negative. Mr. Hyde then asked if Ms. Paxton if she would be interested. Her response was she did not wish to serve as Chair at this point in time. Mr. Hyde then accepted the nomination to serve as Chairman. Ms. Paxton then seconded the motion. All members voted affirmative. Mr. Lehrer then made the point that since Mr. Hyde currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Commission, a nomination and vote should be conducted to elect a new Vice Chair. MOTION: Mr. Hyde nominated Ms. Paxton as Vice Chair. Mr. Balzarini seconded the motion. All voted affirmative. Chairman Hyde then presided over the meeting. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. APPROVAL OF MINUTES—December 16, 2020 Meeting MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to accept the minutes as printed. Ms. Paxton seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. PROPOSED PROJECTS PUBLIC HEARING Applicant: Mr. Dean Stanley Location: 234 Main St. Request: Certificate of Non-Applicability Description: The applicant is seeking endorsement of Certificate of Non-Applicability for repair, replacement and general maintenance of the trim,windows and front door of the residential property.
