7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 21,2008 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Resignation of Human Services Director: <br /> Correspondence was received from Louise Patrick dated July 11, 2008 <br /> resigning from the position of Director of Human Services effective <br /> August 15,2008. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to accept the resignation of Louise <br /> Patrick as Human Services Director with regret. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> SWlus Equipment: <br /> A list of surplus equipment was presented to the Selectmen for review. It <br /> was noted that information regarding equipment deemed surplus is posted <br /> in Town Hall and on the Town's website. The bid preview is this <br /> Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the former Library location. With respect to <br /> the surplus equipment, it was noted that two surplus vans from the School <br /> Department were transferred for use to the Leisure Services Department in <br /> need of a passenger van and to the Department of Public Works for the <br /> benefit of necessary equipment transfers. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Application for One-Day Permit—Mashpee Chamber of Commerce: <br /> The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce submitted an application for a one- <br /> day beer and wine license for a fundraiser and community event entitled <br /> La Tavola, an Italian evening of food and wine. The event is scheduled on <br /> August 15, 2008 on Joy Street in the South Cape Village complex. <br /> Thomas O'Neill was in attendance to discuss the intent of the Italian affair <br /> with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cook to approve the application of the <br /> Mashpee Chamber of Commerce for a One Day Beer& Wine License <br /> on Friday,August 15,2008 for the La Tavola evening fundraiser at <br /> South Cape Village. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
