o A history of the Committee’s formation was presented and included in the <br />meeting minutes <br />o Mr. Bibo expressed concerns about the committee’s capacity to handle its <br />responsibilities but affirmed support for the new Freshwater Ponds Committee <br />o The Freshwater Ponds Committee was approved by the Select Board to oversee <br />the management and preservation of local freshwater ponds <br />o The committee will be responsible for addressing issues related to water quality, <br />nutrient management, and invasive species in the ponds <br />o Members of the community will be invited to submit letters of interest for <br />positions on the committee, which will be formally interviewed by the Select <br />Board <br />o The MWLM Committee will continue to operate independently while supporting <br />the new Freshwater Ponds Committee <br />o There is recognition that the current committee is underpowered to handle the <br />responsibilities outlined in the new committee’s plan <br />o Members of the MWLM Committee may express interest in serving as liaison or <br />providing assistance to the new committee as needed (Mr. Bibo as liaison) <br />o Letter of interest to Select Board to be submitted <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />7:37 <br />o A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as presented. <br />o Roll Call: 5 yay: 0 nay <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Alyssa Pinto, <br />Mashpee Wakeby Lake Management Committee Board Secretary <br />3 <br /> <br />
