5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 9, 2007 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Town Clerk—Parking on Mashpee Neck Road: <br /> Deborah Dami, Town Clerk presented a proposal to the Selectmen <br /> regarding vehicle signage that would allow five to six homes in an area <br /> requiring boat ramp permits parking access in the front of their respective <br /> homes. The matter was considered by the Board. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to issue(1) residential boat <br /> ramp sticker to the five to six homes ,a total of(1) sticker per <br /> household for the 2007 season. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> It was agreed the boat ramp sticker policy would be strictly enforced. The <br /> matter would be a topic of review in September with applicable sticker <br /> issues. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Potential Articles: <br /> An article for the October 2007 Annual Town Meeting of particular note <br /> would authorize the Selectmen to transfer title to three parcels at 67 Fox <br /> Hill Road, 19 Lakewood Drive and 38 &44 Timberlane Drive,previously <br /> taken for non-payment of taxes, to persons or agencies that would <br /> construct affordable homes or apartments, and to place a permanent deed <br /> .restriction prohibiting construction on five additional parcels as part of a <br /> Nitrogen Aggregation Plan under MA Department of Environmental <br /> Protection(DEP)regulations to permit the construction of three bedroom <br /> homes on three buildable parcels. <br /> July 9, 2007,the second Monday in July is the declared deadline for <br /> articles to be placed on the October Town Meeting warrant. It was noted <br /> that three petition articles were submitted to the Town Manager's.Office <br /> prior to the deadline. One article would allow elected officials to amend <br /> the Home Rule Charter;the second petition article would remove the <br /> School Department from the Capital Improvement Program(CIP) for <br /> vehicles. It is a town-wide requirement for all new vehicle leases and <br /> purchases to go before the CIP. <br /> I` <br />
