4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 10, 2007 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Renewal of Dispatch Contract—FIRE&EMS Services: <br /> An updated contract between the Town of Mashpee and County of <br /> Barnstable and its Sheriffs Department for Fire and EMS dispatch <br /> services was presented to the Selectmen for approval. <br /> The only modification to the document is the fee per call which has <br /> increased to $.50 per call. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to enter into contract with the <br /> County of Barnstable Sheriff's Department for Fire & EMS Dispatch <br /> Services. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Selectmen requested Chief Baker provide a year to year analysis of <br /> the emergency response call volume for additional review. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Request of Mashpee Permanent Firefighters Association—Road Race: <br /> The Mashpee Permanent Firefighters Association requested approval from <br /> the Selectmen to approve a road race to benefit their scholarship and <br /> wellness programs. A road race is scheduled on October 27, 2007 in <br /> Popponesset at the Market Place. The details of the race were outlined in <br /> a memorandum to the Board dated August 18, 2007. <br /> It was noted that police details as required by the Chief of Police will be <br /> contracted for the event. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to approve the Mashpee <br /> Permanent Firefighters Association Road Race event on October 27, <br /> 2007 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
