10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 29, 2007 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Sewer Commission: (continued) <br /> With regards to the additional matter of discussion relative to a potential <br /> merger of the Sewer Commission with the Water District, it was agreed <br /> Selectman Cahalane serving as Sewer Commission liaison would <br /> represent the Board in discussions. Additional representation would <br /> include the Town Manager, a Water District representative and a designee <br /> of the Sewer Commission. <br /> Lincoln Way Realty Trust: <br /> Ken Fowler,Managing Trustee of Lincoln Way Realty Trust, South <br /> Dennis was in attendance to present to the Board of Selectmen, a proposal <br /> for an affordable housing project off Cotuit Road in Mashpee. <br /> It was noted the project engineer was unable to attend the meeting due to <br /> scheduling conflicts. <br /> Mr. Fowler indicated to the Board that it is his intention to proceed with <br /> the proposed 40B project as a Local Initiative Project(LIP). It was <br /> disclosed,the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee at their meeting of <br /> September 4, 2007 voted to support the Lincoln Way Affordable Housing <br /> Project as a Local Initiative Project. <br /> The Affordable Housing Committee has requested the following for the <br /> affordable and moderate units; 70% local preference of affordable and <br /> moderate units and applicants for the 8 to 10 units should fall between <br /> 80% and 100%of the median income. <br /> In the absence of a detailed schematic of the intended project scope, the <br /> Board of Selectmen agreed to re-visit the matter on November 19, 2007. <br />
