Minutes <br /> August 7,2006 <br /> Present: Selectman Cook, Selectman Cahaln, <br /> Selectman Myers, Selectman Green <br /> Town Manager Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Town Manager Ren6 Read <br /> Absent: Selectman Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Vice-Chairman Cook at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1 <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, July 24 2006 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Monday,July 24,2006 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby Lake Management Committee members Barbara <br /> Nichols and William Marsters were in attendance to request the Selectmen <br /> provide assistance to manage the lake water levels. <br /> Barbara Nichols,committee secretary presented an outline of the water <br /> levels from October 2004 to August of 2006. The goal of the committee is <br /> to maintain a level of 55.5 feet above sea level. The lake has been higher <br /> in every month of measurement with the exception of the level taken in <br /> August, 2005. <br /> Marian Joseph,a resident of Pimlico Pond Road presented photos to the <br /> Selectmen detailing shoreline erosion that is caused by the high water <br /> level and wakes from boaters using the pond. Water quality was also a <br /> considerable concern as erosion adds to the nutrient loading. <br /> i <br />
