5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 7,2006 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Aynointment—Historical Commission: <br /> Frank J. Lord was the recommended candidate for appointment to the <br /> Historical Commission. Correspondence was received from Lee Gurney, <br /> Chair dated August 3,2006 with respect to this regard. A letter of interest <br /> from Mr. Lord dated July 30,2006 was received in response to the <br /> vacancy. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cabalane to appoint Frank J. Lord to the <br /> Historical Commission for a term to expire; June 30,2009. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Review and Execution of Order of Taking—Grant Breen Drive and <br /> Quashnet Woods Drive: <br /> It was noted the layout was approved by a vote at the May 1, 2006 Annual <br /> Town Meeting. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve and execute the <br /> Order of Taking to lay out the public ways with the names Grant <br /> Breen Drive and Quashnet Woods Drive in their entirety. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Review and Execution of Order of Taking-Melissa Avenue,Jones Road <br /> Lakewood Drive,Juniper Drive, Linden Road and Maple Street: <br /> It was disclosed the layout for the above referenced roads were approved <br /> by a vote at the May 1, 2006 Annual Town Meeting. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cabalane to approve and execute the <br /> Order of Taking to layout the public ways with the names Melissa <br /> Avenue,Jones Road,Lakewood Drive,Juniper Drive,Linden Road <br /> and Maple Street as described. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
