3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 11, 2006 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—Tax Classification Hearin: (continued) <br /> Correspondence was received from the Mashpee Water District <br /> Commissioners dated.December 11, 2006 indicating at their meeting of <br /> December 5, 2006,the Board of Water Commissioners for the Mashpee <br /> Water District voted unanimously with one abstention on the following <br /> motion relative to the Water District's FY07 real estate tax classification; <br /> 1. Adopt a Residential Exemption of(1) <br /> 2. Not allow an Open Space Discount <br /> 3. Not allow a Small Business Exemption, and <br /> 4. Not allow a Residential Exemption. <br /> Being no further comment, the Board motioned to close the Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cook to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Cahalane absent. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cook to vote to adopt the following; <br /> 1. Adopt a Residential Exemption of(1) <br /> 2. Not allow an Open Space Discount <br /> 3. Not allow a Small Business Exemption, and <br /> 4. Not allow a Residential Exemption. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Cahalane absent. <br /> It was agreed a workshop session would be conducted in the spring after <br /> the budget process to further study the issue of a residential exemption. <br />
