2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> • Minutes <br /> April 11, 2005 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> In other business,Mashpee residents Liz Kenner and Mickey LaCasse of <br /> Coombs Road related concern with respect to the disrepair of their private <br /> road. In response it was noted that the Selectmen's Office remitted <br /> criteria to the residents in response to emergency repairs to private roads. <br /> The residents were also given the option to make payment to the Town to <br /> conduct necessary repairs. It was agreed that the matter would be further <br /> reviewed with the Director of Public Works. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Certification and Confirmation of Appointment Process— <br /> Firefighter/EMT: <br /> George Baker, Fire Chief was present to request the Board's certification <br /> of the appointment of Frank Nunes as Firefighter/EMT. Correspondence <br /> was received from Chief Baker dated March 31, 2005 relative to the hiring <br /> • process. Mr.Nunes is a Mashpee resident. The proposed date of hire is <br /> May 1, 2005. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to certify and confirm the <br /> appointment of Frank Nunes as Firefighter/EM17. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Recommendation fro Bid Acceptance-DPW Extension of Annual Bids: <br /> Gregory Taylor,Director of Public Works presented a list of contracts for <br /> annual bid items to be extended for fiscal year 2006. The bid items as <br /> listed were outlined in a memorandum from the Assistant DPW Director <br /> dated march 16, 2005. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Extension of <br /> Contracts for the Annual Bid Items as listed for Fiscal Year 2006. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
