l <br /> i <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 2, 2005 <br /> Present: Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Green, Selectman Taylor, <br /> Selectman Marsters, Selectman Myers <br /> Town Manager,Joyce Mason <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Cahalane at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Quashnet School Conference Room. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met prior to the Annual and Special Town <br /> Meeting for the purpose of reviewing issues pertaining to the warrant. <br /> Town Counsel,Patrick Costello was present. Ed Larkin, Chair of the <br /> Charter Bylaw Review Committee was in attendance. <br /> The Selectmen took action on the following articles: <br /> Article 414: Charter Bylaw—Article VII <br /> Capital Improvement Committee& Program <br /> • <br /> It was agreed that Section 6-14 of the article associated to the <br /> Consideration of Proposed Capital Outlays would be amended. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to amend Article#14 of the Annual <br /> Town Meeting Warrant under Article V11, Section 6-14 to read the <br /> sum of$30,000 in place of$100,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Article#7: Funding to develop and implement a web browser-based GIS. <br /> It was noted that the article would be postponed. The Cable Advisory <br /> Technology Committee has appropriated funding for the Internet-based <br /> Geographic Information System. <br />
