4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 9, 2005 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Proclamation—Citizen of the Year—Linda Steele: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cabalane to proclaim the date of May 10, <br /> 2005 as Linda Steele Day in the Town of Mashpee for being <br /> outstanding citizen of the year in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> On behalf of the Board, Selectman Green read aloud the proclamation that <br /> honors Ms. Steele's dedication to the Town of Mashpee. Ms. Steele <br /> received the distinguished honor of being named by the Mashpee Chamber <br /> of Commerce as Citizen of the Year. <br /> Approval of Settlement Agreement—FDIC/May Institute: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalanc. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Correspondence was received from Town Counsel dated May 6, 2005 <br /> relative to the Settlement Agreement between the Town, FDIC and The <br /> May Institute relating to real property located at 950 and 966 Falmouth <br /> Road. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve and execute the <br /> Settlement Agreement in triplicate original by and between the Town <br /> of Mashpee,FDIC,as Liquidator of First American Bank for Savings <br /> and The May Institute,Inc. as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
