1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 15, 2004 <br /> Present: Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Green, <br /> Selectman Marsters, Selectman Myers <br /> Town Manager Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Town Manager Jim Marr <br /> Absent: Selectman Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Cahalane at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall Conference Room#1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, November 1, 2004 Regular&Executive Sessions: <br /> The above referenced minutes were deferred for quorum purposes. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> Assistant DPW Director—Transfer Station: <br /> Catherine Laurent,Assistant Director of Public Works was present to <br /> discuss matters pertaining to the operation of the Transfer Station with <br /> members of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> i <br /> In particular,the Director responded to questions raised by the Selectmen <br /> relative to the acceptance of cash at the Transfer Station and practices to <br /> ensure accountability of said cash funds. The procedure as developed by <br /> the DPW for the collection and accountability of funds was outlined in a <br /> memorandum dated November 10, 2004. <br /> It was agreed that the Town Auditor would be requested to address the <br /> current collection process and give consideration to utilize credit cards as <br /> an additional method of payment at the Transfer Station. With appropriate <br /> controls in place, it was agreed that the Town should be able to maintain <br /> this type of practice at the Transfer Station location. <br /> s <br />
