2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 15, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS.. <br /> Assistant DPW Director—Transfer Station: (continued) <br /> Discussion continued on the matter of white goods and the fees paid for <br /> disposal. Ms. Laurent was directed to further define white goods and why <br /> they are separated to promote public awareness. It was noted that <br /> presently,white goods containing refrigerants are separated and fees are <br /> paid for their disposal. Presently,the Town does not charge for other <br /> scrap metal items. <br /> To better track revenues and manage fees, it was recommended the DPW <br /> incorporate an additional income line item for the disposal of white goods. <br /> Assistant DPW Director , Request for Bid Acceptance. Regional Salt Bid: <br /> The Selectmen were requested to accept the Plymouth Regional Salt Bid <br /> for the Town of Mashpee as provided by Eastern Minerals, Inc. of Lowell, <br /> MA. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to award the Plymouth Regional <br /> Salt Bid to Eastern Minerals,Inc. at a cost of$51.34 per ton. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Public Hearing=Boys & Girls Club—Amusement Device: <br /> Selectman Cahalan opened the Public Hearing on the application of Boys <br /> & Girls Club of Cape Cod, Inc., for the addition of one (1) coin operated <br /> amusement device. Joyce Mason, the Town Manager read aloud the <br /> Public Hearing notice as published. <br /> George Noonan, Unit Director of the Boys& Girls Club was present to <br /> discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen. It was stated <br /> that it is not known what type of vending machine would be installed at <br /> the non-profit center. An affordable coin/token game machine is under <br /> consideration as a new type of activity for the students. The vending <br /> machine would not operate at the location on Sundays. <br /> The actual cost of the vending machine between the vendor and Boys & <br /> Girls Club is under negotiation. Being no comment, the Selectmen <br /> motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br />
