10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 20, 2002 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Correspondence re: Tribal Recognition/Hale &Dorr: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> For disclosure, the Selectmen indicated.that correspondence was received <br /> with respect to the Tribal Recognition process as it relates to the June <br /> dates of response from appellate court; and preliminary finding to request <br /> a stay. The final decision will be published on December 21, 2002. Hale <br /> &Dorr, special legal counsel for the Town of Mashpee also remitted <br /> documentation to the Selectmen relative to the significance of sovereign <br /> nation recognition. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Acce tance of Beach Concession: <br /> Two companies responded to the bid proposals for the operation of the <br /> concession stands at the Town beaches. This years bid was combined for <br /> South Cape Beach and Attaquin/John's Pond Parks. Hyannis Ice Cream <br /> was recommended as this year's concession purveyor pending Health <br /> Department inspection. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept the Beach Concession <br /> bid from Hyannis Ice Cream for the sum of$3,542 as recommended <br /> pending Health Department inspection and approval. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
