2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 24, 2002 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Police Chief: Vacation BU Back: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Deputy Chief of Police dated <br /> June 20, 2002 with respect to a vacation buy back for the Deputy Chief <br /> and Lieutenants due to an oversight provision omitted from the Deputy's <br /> agreement and lieutenant's job description. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve for this year only, <br /> the vacation buy back option for the Deputy Chief of Police and <br /> Lieutenants as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Interim Conservation Agent: <br /> Selectman George Green, the recently appointed interim Conservation <br /> Agent indicated that he would step down from the position. Peggy <br /> Fantozzi, offering a unique blend of public and private work experience <br /> has demonstrated her ability to provide leadership and environmental <br /> expertise to serve as Mashpee's interim Conservation Agent. It was noted <br /> that Ms. Fantozzi has offered to serve for the Town on a voluntary basis <br /> during the absence of Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to appoint Peggy Fantozzi as <br /> Interim Conservation Agent. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
