Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 8, 2002 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Joseph R. Valle—Affordable Home Community <br /> Joseph Valle of the Valle Group, areal estate consulting and development <br /> company was present with his counsel, Paul Glynn of Falmouth to discuss <br /> a proposed twelve home affordable community on 30 Meetinghouse Road, <br /> Mashpee. <br /> A conceptual plan was presented to the Selectmen consisting of three <br /> affordable homes, and nine market rate housing on approximately four <br /> acres of land. Traditional Cape and colonial style homes are envisioned <br /> on the cul de sac road with typical title V septic systems. The density of <br /> each home is approximately 1/3 d of an acre. <br /> Affordable housing would be offered to first home buyers of median <br /> family income. It was noted that the Housing Assistance Corporation <br /> would assist with the selection of candidates in need of housing. There is <br /> a 70%preference for Mashpee residents. <br /> Mr. Valle indicated that he is expected to go before the Zoning Board of <br /> Appeals, Conservation Commission and Board of Health within the next <br /> fourteen to twenty-one days. The meeting was an informal courtesy <br /> presentation to the Mashpee Board of Selectmen. <br /> Adjournment: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to adjourn at 7:29 p.m. <br /> The Board will enter into Executive Session at this time for the <br /> purpose of discussing collective bargaining.
