1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 26, 2002 <br /> Present: Selectman Taylor, Selectman Leveille, Selectman Marsters, <br /> Selectman Green, Selectman Cahalan <br /> Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Town Administrator James Marr <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Taylor at 7:04 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> None at this time. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Forum Discussion: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met for the purpose of discussing items relative to <br /> the October 6, 2002 Federal Recognition Forum. In particular, the <br /> advertisement and proposed program agenda was reviewed. <br /> Invitations were mailed to area selectmen of the fifteen Cape towns, key <br /> base officials and state legislators. Signage locations and the news release <br /> for the open forum were disclosed. The forum, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 <br /> p.m. at the Mashpee High School will be televised live on Mashpee cable <br /> access channels 18 and 22. The meeting will be held in the gymnasium. <br /> Additional seating if necessary will be available in the adjacent cafeteria. <br /> The use of the auditorium would be considered if there is a limited <br /> audience. <br /> Questions about federal recognition and its ramifications may be <br /> submitted to the Office of Town Administrator or brought to the forum. <br /> The two panelists, Kay Davis and James Lynch are the intended keynote <br /> speakers. <br /> i <br />
