1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 6,2002 <br /> Present: Selectman Taylor,'Selectman.,LevQiile, Selectman Marsters, <br /> Selectman Green, Selectman Cahalane <br /> Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Taylor at 12:40 p.m. <br /> Mashpee High School. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Federal Recognition Forum: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met to review the intended guidelines of the <br /> Federal Recognition Forum held on this date in the gymnasium <br /> of the Mashpee High School. <br /> Program Moderator Compensation: <br /> Compensation for retired Judge John St. Cyr, the program moderator <br /> was briefly discussed by the Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to authorize as compensation for <br /> John St. Cyr,the sum of$1,000 for moderating the Federal <br /> Recognition Forum. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Dialysis Center—Mash ee Commons: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> In concern to the Cape Cod Commission's regulatory review on the <br /> location of the dialysis center in Mashpee Commons, the Board of <br /> Selectmen directed.the Town Administrator to remit a strong press release <br /> on their behalf in opposition to the Commission's development of regional <br /> impact review. Members of the CCC will be formally invited to attend the <br /> upcoming Selectmen's Meeting to discuss the regulatory review process <br /> and essential need for this type of center in the community. <br />
