6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 7, 2002 <br /> Meeting re-convened: 7:09 p.m. <br /> Selectman Marsters present. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met with the Finance Committee for the purpose <br /> of reviewing articles pertaining to the October Town Meeting warrant. <br /> The following,articles were considered; <br /> Article#2: Capital Requests—Fire Department <br /> Deputy Fire Chief's Vehicle: $35,000 <br /> BOS Recommend: $35,000 <br /> Fin Corn Recommend: $35,000 <br /> Article #4: Charter Commission <br /> Consulting &Expenses—Request: $10,000 <br /> BOS Recommend: $10,000 <br /> Fin Cam Recommend: $5,000 <br /> The Finance Committee suggested the Board not commit to the funding <br /> request until the need has been fully determined. There was no action. <br /> Article#5: Cemetery—To Create an Expense Budget for Maintenance <br /> Request: $10,000 <br /> BOS Recommend: $10,000 <br /> Fin Corn Does Not Recommend <br /> The Finance Committee recommended the article request be deferred to <br /> the May Town Meeting. It was noted that funding.presently exists in the <br /> cemetery building account that could support landscape,.construction <br /> improvements and related survey work. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to indefinitely postpone the <br /> article as proposed to create an expense budget for the maintenance of <br /> Town Cemeteries. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille.. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
