1 <br /> Finance Committee Minutes <br /> February 17 , 1987 <br /> Page 3 . <br /> When questioned in regard to his feelings about the need <br /> for a new radio for the Animal Control Officer , Chief Frye <br /> expressed his belief that it was a necessity for the Officer to <br /> have a radio to put her in communication with police cruisers and <br /> the station . He noted that there are situations that require <br /> backup and he also noted that her present portable won ' t reach <br /> the station from certain parts of town . <br /> Members of the Finance Committee discussed the need for a <br /> portable radio for the Animal Control officer to put her in direct <br /> communication with the police cruisers . All members concurred that <br /> it was a vital necessity .
