1.0 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 23, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Order for Betterment Assessments—Pickerel Cove Road/Circle: <br /> The Board reviewed the Order for Betterment Assessments associated to <br /> construction improvements to Pickerel Cove Road and Pickerel Cove <br /> Circle. The amount of$198,297.25 was considered as follows; <br /> 22 abutters— 100% - $8,048.00 <br /> 6 abutters — 50% - $3,541.00 <br /> To include a 13 acre parcel with frontage that has the potential to <br /> be subdivided into four lots—betterment assessed - $32,192.00 <br /> All fees are pro-rated over a twenty-year period. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve and execute the <br /> Order for Betterment Assessments for construction improvements to <br /> Pickerel Cove Road and Pickerel Cove Circle as presented. <br /> Motions seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Appointment of WaterwaysAssista.nt: <br /> For disclosure, the Board indicated that they discussed briefly, in <br /> Executive Session, the agenda topic, Appointment of Waterways <br /> Assistant. <br /> Perry Ellis, Harbormaster was present to recommend the Board appoint <br /> the three candidates referenced in the memorandum of April 9, 2001 to the <br /> seasonal position of Waterways Assistant. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to appoint as part-time <br /> Waterways Assistant, Charles Anastasia and Stuart Paache. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Mr. Ellis urged the Board to consider the appointment. of Mark Sherman. <br /> There was no action. The position vacancy will be re-advertised. <br />
