12 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 23, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Audit Service Proposal—Melanson, Heath and Com an Inc.: <br /> Correspondence was received from auditors Melanson, Heath and <br /> Company, Inc. dated March 21, 2001 confirming their services to the <br /> Town of Mashpee for the year ending June 30, 2001. <br /> Audit fees for the annual audit engagement will not exceed $14,500 for <br /> the Town and $4,000 for the School Department's annual year-end <br /> Schedule 1 audit. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the audit service <br /> proposal as set forth by Melanson, Heath and Company,Inc. for a <br /> sum not to exceed, $14,500 for the Town and $4,000 for the School <br /> Department, pending receipt of the School audit. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Acceptance of Grant—Waste to Energy Grant Proms <br /> Correspondence was received from the Massachusetts Technology Park <br /> Corporation(MTPC) dated March 30, 2001 relative to Mashpee's <br /> application for funding under the Waste to Energy Grant Program. <br /> Mashpee has been awarded a grant in the total amount of$390,307.68 <br /> subject to the availability of funds as set forth in the Guidelines, which <br /> will be encumbered in three installments. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the first installment of <br /> the MTPC Grant in the amount of$195,1.53.84. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the amendment to <br /> the SEMASS contract in conjunction with the MTPC Waste to <br /> Energy Grant program. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
