Finance Committee <br /> March 21, 1988 <br /> Page 2. <br /> The members discussed the Articles on the Warrant and where the money <br /> for the Articles was to come from. These Articles may be separated and put <br /> on the ballot as individual overrides of 22. Vern expressed her belief that <br /> it was a bad idea to put the 4 new firefighter positions and the Deputy Chief <br /> position on an override. Her feeling was that if this should not pass that <br /> the other firefighters would walk. She noted that she would prefer the- Finance <br /> Committee not recommend rather than put it on an override. The Articles will <br /> be discussed at the Wednesday evening meeting with the Selectmen. <br /> Finance Committee members discussed the School FY89 budget. John noted <br /> that he would like to see the $100,000 the Finance Committee previously agreed- <br /> to cut from the budget replaced. Carl noted that he felt badly about this <br /> cut and agreed with John Ferriday. The Committee voted and agreed to replace <br /> the $100,000 in the budget. Edward Dolan abstained from the vote and discussion <br /> because of a conflict of interest. <br /> The Finance Committee reviewed the Omnibus budget and agreed to figures <br /> as per the attached worksheets . Total Omnibus budget figure was agreed at <br /> $11,617,440. The Total Expenditures are set at $13,893,800 and the <br /> Projected Revenue is $13,168,300. Expenditures exceed revenues by $725,500. <br /> Vern noted that all department heads would be advised of the Finance - <br /> Committee' s final recommendations on their FY 89 budgets .on March 22, 1988. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 8:45 and the next scheduled meeting is March 23, <br /> 1988 at 7 p.m. <br /> Gail McNabb <br /> Board Secretary <br />
