10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 21, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Acceptance of Bid—Beach Concession: <br /> One bid was received in response to the bid proposal for the operation of <br /> the concession stands at the Town beaches this season. Cool Licks <br /> Concessions was the sole bidder. This would be their second year <br /> providing beach concession services. <br /> The Selectmen requested that in the future, the Director of Leisure <br /> Services remit a recommendation to the Board regarding beach concession <br /> operational services. In order to obtain a more competitive bid, the date of <br /> advertisement shall commence in early March opposed to April. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to award the Beach Concession <br /> Bid to Cool Licks Concessions as follows: <br /> South Cape Beach $2,179.59 <br /> Attaquin Park&John Pond $456.29 <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—Transfer of License— Spenco: <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced hearing. <br /> Selectman Cahalan opened the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> Melinda B. Lee, d/b/a Cafe Twiggs, for a transfer of Seasonal All Alcohol <br /> Restaurant License from Spenco, Inc. Mrs. Mason, Assistant Town <br /> Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing notice as published. All <br /> necessary paperwork is in order for the Selectmen's approval., <br /> Attorney Mark Gildea was present to discuss the license application with <br /> the Board of Selectmen. Being no comment,the Board motioned to close <br /> the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
