4
Board of Selectmen
Minutes
June 11, 2001
APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS:
DPW Director--Road Repair Wheeler Road:
A resident of Wheeler Road has offered to expend up to $470 for
maintenance improvements covering costs associated to road repairs.
Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works recommended approval.
Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the maintenance
improvement request associated to Wheeler Road for reimbursement
as recommended.
Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor.
VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
Emergency Road Repair—Amy Brown Road:
It was deemed that the 1200' section of the Amy Brown Road is in need of
repair as a result of its present condition. It was also deemed a safety
concern for emergency vehicles. A sung, no greater than$1,000 would
supply material to grade the road and improve the condition.
The private dirt road is in a state of disrepair with numerous large
potholes. A long-term solution with the fourteen landowners is considered
for the maintenance of Amy Brown Road.
The residents present agreed to reimburse the town, a sum less than $400
to conduct the initial grading of the road until a long-term solution is
developed.
Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the emergency road
repair to Amy Brown Road, grading only for a sum not to exceed $400
for reimbursement, contingent upon the area vesidents developing a
long-term solution as referenced.
Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor.
VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0
