1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 6, 2001 <br /> Present: Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Green, Selectman Leveille <br /> Acting Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Absent: Selectman Marsters, Selectman Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Cahalane at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, July 23, 2001 Regular and Executive Sessions: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Uveille to approve the Regular and <br /> Executive Session minutes of Monday,July 23, 2001 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Nancy Caffyn requested to comment on the Helene DeFoe agenda topic. <br /> Mashpee/Wakeby Pond resident Mimi Joseph related concern with respect <br /> to a recent incident involving a swimmer injured by a jet-ski in the Town <br /> of Sandwich. An avid swimmer, Ms. Joseph urged the Selectmen to remit <br /> a letter to Colonel Murray of the Environmental Police in support of <br /> additional enforcement on the pond. <br /> In response, the Selectmen directed the Acting Town Administrator to <br /> remit the letter of concern as referenced and further request the <br /> HarborMaster to patrol the area more frequently. The memorandum of <br /> concern to the MA Environmental Police will be copied to the Selectmen <br /> of the Town of Sandwich. <br />
