2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 6, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: (continued) <br /> In other business, Jerry Blumengarten a new resident of Mashpee related <br /> concern to the Town's failure to respond to his letters seeking information <br /> regarding the Town's position on the Donna's Lane intersection project <br /> and also for non-answered questions directed to the Library Director <br /> regarding the operation of the Library. <br /> In response, the Selectmen discussed the present status of the Donna's <br /> Lane/Job's Fishing Road intersection project. The correspondence log of <br /> the Selectmen will be reviewed in addition to the log of the Library <br /> Director in order to remit a detailed response to the memorandums, <br /> received by Mr. Blumengarten. <br /> Public Hearing—Cemetery Regulations: <br /> Selectman Cahalane opened the Public Hearing on the proposed Cemetery <br /> Regulations for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Joyce Mason, Acting Town Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing <br /> notice as published. Fred Blythe, Cemetery Committee Chairman was <br /> present to discuss the guidelines proposed for the rules of operation <br /> pertaining to the Mashpee Town Cemetery. <br /> Several issues regarding the proposed operation and make-up of the <br /> Cemetery Authority/Commission were considered. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to allow thirty-days for public comment. The <br /> matter will be placed on the Selectmen's agenda of September 24, 2001 <br /> for additional review. <br /> Selectman Cahalane opened the Hearing to solicit comment. <br /> Nancy Caffyn indicated that she is a member of the Cemetery Committee, <br /> and has not been receiving notices of meetings and/or meeting minutes. <br /> Mrs. Caffyn indicated that she has issues with the regulations as proposed. <br /> Being no further comment, the Board motioned to continue the Hearing. <br />
