13 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 24, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for approval for Grant Application„ Police Department: <br /> Chief of Police, Maurice Cooper requested the Selectmen approve the <br /> FY02 DARE grant application to assist with the goals and objectives of <br /> the DARE/Tobacco Control Program <br /> 'It was noted that matching Town funds are not required. The grant is a <br /> continuation of programs that support anti drug and violence education <br /> efforts. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the grant application j <br /> in the amount of$9,700 for the FY 2002 DARE Grant Program as <br /> outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Request for Approval for Grant Application—Police,Department: <br /> The above referenced agenda topic relative to the FY02 Community <br /> Policing grant application has been deferred at this time. <br /> Appointment of Civil Defense Coordinator: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to appoint Ernest Virgilio <br /> as Civil Defense Coordinator of the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Acceptance of Change Order 912=Fire Station: <br /> Change Order#12 was submitted to the Board of Selectmen for approval. <br /> The change order in the amount of$3,887.57 was reviewed and approved <br /> by the Fire Station Building Committee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve Change Oder#12 in <br /> the amount of$3,887.57 for the Fire Station construction project as <br /> referenced in detail on the date of August 22,2001. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
