7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 24, 2001 <br /> Proposed Community Advisory Committee for Nitrogen Management <br /> Plan: <br /> Selectman Cahalane stepped down for the above referenced issue. <br /> Tom Fudala, the Town Planner was present to recommend the Selectmen <br /> establish a Community Advisory Committee(CAC), an ad hoc committee <br /> proposed for the Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan and Preliminary <br /> Effluent Pipeline Design project. <br /> It was noted that the Sewer Commission recommended the creation of a <br /> committee as a result of the Watershed Management Committee's failure <br /> to reach a quorum due to resignations. <br /> Recommendations for the ad hoc committee include a Planning Board <br /> representative, a Sewer Commission representative and the following <br /> make-up of representatives, one each from; <br /> The Board of Health, Waterways Commission, Shellfish Commission, <br /> Mashpee Chamber of Commerce and Mashpee Environmental Coalition. <br /> In addition, one resident from each of the Town's(5) voting precincts, <br /> shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> One representative from each of the adjacent towns of Falmouth, <br /> Sandwich and Barnstable, portions of the intended area of study, are also <br /> recommended to be included in the proposal as set forth by the Sewer <br /> Commission. <br /> Mr. Fudala outlined the objectives of the CAC as recommended in the <br /> memorandum of September 5, 2001 addressed to the Board of Selectmen <br /> from the Mashpee Sewer Commission. <br /> R <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to establish a Community <br /> Advisory Committee(CAC), an ad hoc committee comprised of <br /> membership as outlined in the memorandum of September 5, 2001 to <br /> include representation from the Conservation Commission. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Cahalane abstained. <br /> It was agreed that the Sewer Commission would advertise to seek letters <br /> of interest for representation of the Town's(5) voting precincts. <br /> i <br />
