r 5
Board of Selectmen
Minutes
November 5, 2001
NEW BUSINESS:
Town Hall Usage:
The Selectmen related concern with respect to the usage of the Town Hall
facility by outside parties. The issue of liability and control of
governmental buildings in addition to access and egress was considered.
The Board agreed to review this matter at the next scheduled meeting.
Fire Chief George Balser indicated that he is presently reviewing the
general access and egress of all Town buildings and would report security
recommendations to the Board of Selectmen.
Approval of Change Order#3_--_Cemetery:
Mashpee Municipal Cemetery Change Order#3 in the amount of
$1,185.80 dated October 17, 2001 was submitted to the Selectmen for
approval.
The above referenced item was deferred for additional clarification.
Request to Move Building---Hayden Building Movers:
The Selectmen reviewed the request of Hayden Building Movers to move
a small building over the public ways in the Town of Mashpee at a date to
be determined. It was noted that the building permit is conditioned on
obtaining a moving permit from the Board of Selectmen.
The move from Falmouth to Route 151 along Great Neck Road North to
#19 Quashnet Road is anticipated to be scheduled in approximately three
weeks upon installation of the building foundation.
A brief discussion followed. It was noted that Hayden has moved
buildings in the past over the public ways in Mashpee without incident.
All departments listed on the application have granted the request.
Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of Hayden
Building Movers as outlined.
Motion seconded by Selectman Green.
i VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0.
