The Executive <br /> Secretary joined the meeting . Joe Murphy noted that there <br /> is a Selectmen ' s meeting April 27th . At that meeting the <br /> figures will be available as to how much it will cost the - town <br /> to operate the Transfer Station , landfill and hauling and the <br /> cost of a private contractor to, run the operation . The prices <br /> will be available for comparison. <br /> Chairman Heller noted that John Ferriday had proposed <br /> a handout at town meeting stating facts and concerns about <br /> proposition 2z and important definitions , i . e . reserve fund , <br /> stabilization , hotel/motel tax , revenue for appropriation . <br /> John noted that there is no way to make a simple explanation <br /> of proposition 22 because there is nothing simple about it . <br /> Joe Murphy noted that at a previous town meeting definitions <br /> were given on different colored paper and attached to the <br /> warrant for explanation . He felt that two pages would provide <br /> ample space for definitions . John Ferriday will meet with <br /> the Executive Secretary to work on this idea further . } <br /> Ernie Virgilio , DPW Director met with the Finance, Committee <br /> to discuss their recommendation of $878 , 474 for the FY90 budget . <br /> Ernie noted that he would allot the money as follows : <br /> Director ' s Salary $41 , 869 <br /> Workmen ' s Salary 258 , 701 <br /> Wages 40 , 000 <br /> Clerical Salary 22 , 904 <br /> Municipal Bldg . 10 , 000 <br /> Ground Maintenance 22 , 500 <br /> Expense 120 , 000 <br /> Rd , Maint . & Sm . Maint . 242 , 500 <br /> Snow & Ice 105 , 000 <br /> Temp . Repairs Priv . Rd . 15 , 000 <br /> Ernie expressed his concerns about state funding and in particular <br /> the Chapter 90 funds . Ed Dolan expressed his belief that the <br /> cost of roar[ mai.nLenance to private roads should be an override . <br /> Ernie felt that perhaps next year it should be an article . <br />
