' 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 10, 2000 <br /> Bud get Workshop—FY01 Fiscal Bud et: <br /> The Selectmen agreed to review the salary/elected wage of the <br /> Treasurer/Tax Collector and Town Clerk in the budget process. <br /> Future Agenda topic: Update from the Network Administrator. <br /> Recommended budget adjustments include; <br /> Dept. Request <br /> Town Clerk—Temp/Wages: $ 5,370 $ 6,600 <br /> Conservation—Temp/Wages: $10,450 $13,532 <br /> Planning—Communication: $ 6,000 $ 7,000 <br /> Town Hall—Building& Grounds: $10,000 $12,500 <br /> Fire: Town Events—Overtime $ 2,000 $ 3,120 <br /> DPW Repairs/Maintenance Supplies $ 7,000 $10,000 <br /> DPW Communication $ 2,000 $ 7,000 <br /> The Police Chief will be requested to attend the next workshop <br /> session to discuss departmental requests and overtime management and <br /> wages. The Board was in agreement to not accept any grant funded <br /> police positions at this time. It was noted that one funded vacant position <br /> exists within the department. Mr. Whritenour recommended the Board <br /> increase the line item Special Police Officers to initiate the police cadet <br /> program with four positions, that are 75%grant funded. <br /> The Fire Chief will be requested to discuss his recommended <br /> appropriation for medical supplies as will the Harbormaster for other <br /> purchase of service. <br /> The Selectmen are scheduled to meet with the School Committee fo <br /> discuss the school budget on Wednesday, March 1, 2000. <br />
