MA 02649 <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> Marcia 5, 1991 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Carole Dunivan, John Ferriday, Tony Gallo, Deirdre Greelish, <br /> Carl Heller, and Jim ,Vaccaro <br /> The Finance Committee meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Carole <br /> Dunivan motioned that the Finance Committee minutes of February 25th be <br /> approved as submitted. This motion was seconded by Tony Gallo and there was <br /> a unanimous vote of approval. Carole motioned that the minutes of the <br /> February 27th meeting be approved as submitted and John Ferriday seconded the <br /> motion. The Finance Committee unanimously approved. <br /> The Chairman distributed an up-to-date spread sheet noting several <br /> changes. The revenue was adjusted due to the addition of $20,000 from the <br /> Pension Reserve and the expense figure was increased due to a $20,000 <br /> increase to the Retirement Assessment. Jim also noted that $14,795 could <br /> be deducted from the Veteran's Services. The Town Accountant has agreed to <br /> check on the salary figures to make sure the Committee is working with the <br /> correct numbers. <br /> The Chairman noted that the Selectmen had made some decisions at their <br /> meeting of March 4th that will impact the FY92 Budget. <br /> • The Selectmen declined to increase beach sticker fees. <br /> -M rec- 4-0 $OH <br /> • Selectmen votedAthat the landfill stickers remain at the <br /> same price with a $5 fee for a second car. <br /> • Selectmen requested that the Finance Committee and the Personnel <br /> Board review the article for the 4% PAP increase. There seemed to <br /> be a consensus that they did not favor recommending a raise, but <br /> a raise of less than 4% could be considered. <br /> • They voted that the article about longevity not be on the warrant. <br /> • Selectmen agreed to work on the article concerning the Popponesset <br /> Bridge so that the cost of the borrowing be up-fronted. <br /> • The issue of engineering money for the septage treatment facility <br /> needs to be addressed. It has not been ascertained if the money is <br /> required at the completion of each phase or completion of the entire <br /> project. <br />
