Box 1109 <br /> ABLE� MASHPEE MA 02649 <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> Town Hall <br /> September 10 , 1991 <br /> Present : Tom Bodwell , Tony Gallo , Deirdre Greelish, Al <br /> Al Polsi, Denise Sullivan and Jim Paccaro <br /> The Finance Committee meeting commenced at 6 : 30 p .m. The <br /> first order of business was the approval of the minutes of <br /> the August 6th, meeting. Jim noted two corrections to the <br /> minutes . Page 3 . , paragraph one , sentence two , should be <br /> amended to read, "This is holding up about $7 ,000 in taxes . " <br /> The second change is on Page 3 . , paragraph five, sentence <br /> two. "Jim noted that he had met the previous day with Kevin, <br /> Diane , Dave Bailey and Anne Shaw to assess the. status for <br /> FY92. " Denise motioned that the amended minutes be approved <br /> and Tony seconded the motion. The minutes of August 6th were <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> The Chairman distributed to the Liaisons , Department Expense <br /> Ledgers . The Town Accountant was present and she explained <br /> the columns of the ledgers . Diane noted that she could give <br /> these ledgers to the Finance Committee monthly. Jim <br /> suggested that reports be done the end of September which <br /> would be first quarter and a 26th week report and then <br /> monthly through the budget process . <br /> The discussion of town vehicles will be. held to the next <br /> Finance Committee meeting. Denise will address this issue at <br /> that time. <br /> Al Polsi, liaison to the Board of Health, noted that he- had <br /> met with the Board of Health and the agent and explained <br /> what he would be looking for , and how often he would be in to <br /> see them. He noted that they have no inventory of equipment . <br /> Jim noted that an inventory of town equipment is presently <br /> underway. Al further noted that the department did not have <br /> an activity log. He stated that they were receptive to him <br /> and he was amazed at the amount of work done by this <br /> department . They expressed their concern to him about the <br /> loss of their parttime clerk. <br /> . Tony, liaison to the Fire Department, informed the Committee <br /> that he was in receipt of a letter from the Chief stating <br /> that the Fire Department has an FY91 surplus of $45 , 084 . 02 . <br /> The Chief explained that this surplus was due to the <br /> V <br />
