A.M. to 4 P.M.
Seminars will include four morning sessions :
* DOR Services
* Capital Planning
* The State-Municipal Relationship
* Confronting the 2 1/2 cap.
Following lunch and business meeting four afternoon
simultaneous seminars will explore:
* Fincom-School Committee Cooperation
* New Member Workshop
* Managing the Budget Process
* How municipal revenue departments help the
finance committee
Early registration will assure town committees of
lunches ; last year we fed some who came without
reservations only because a dozen ticket holders were
no-shows .
It takes at least four committee members to cover
the ground. There will be winning reports and other
freebees . Reserve early!
Beacons
With the recent change in our MMA Beacon policy we
wish to hear if (a) the chairman received a copy at his
home and (b) (for committees larger than three) that
three more Beacons came to town hall addressed to the
committee.
Dues
Some bills for Association dues may have
accompanied a newsletter addressed to a committee
secretary, rather than its chairman. Each committee
received only one bill . A large number have now paid;
none has begged poverty.
Boon-Dock Reaction to the State Budget' s New Plans
To help the lobbying effort and to answer
inquiries at the office, the Association seeks feedback
soon, at least before October 1st, as to each
committee' s position on:
* Results of any FY 91 overrides and/or exclusions
* Participation in the Super-Tuesday override
-3-
( Over)
