Page 3
Ed Baker MOTIONED to send a memo to Town Planner to reinactivate
the land bank proposal . Roger Dunivan seconded the motion and
members voted in favor 6--0. Members agreed to invite the Town
Planner, Al Polsi, Diane Rommelmeyer, Anne Shaw and Les to a future
meeting to discuss.
Ed Baker brought up the topic of combining the Shellfish and
Harbormaster Departments again. He did not feel that the FinComm
should let that go, because they felt so strongly about it before.
Mr. Baker MOTIONED to send a letter on Finance Committee letterhead
to the Board of Selectmen to get their attention and that he would
submit a cost analysis as well . Dan Goggin seconded the motion and
members voted 6-0 in favor. Roger Dunivan stated that the letter
should state that the FinComm in two weeks would be ready to
discuss the figures for the combined budget. Ms. Greelish stated
that she would like to put this on the agenda for July 14 and that
she would also like to provide figures as well as the letter.
Members discussed the fire department and their raises. Mr. Baker
mentioned that every other department got a 20 or 4% raise but that
the fire department had not. Roger Dunivan recommended that Mr.
Baker meet with the chief and get back to the committee with the
facts.
The meeting adjourned at 9: 30PM. The next meeting will be held on
Tuesday, July 14, 1992. Minutes submitted by Jean M. Mooney,
Recording Secretary.
