10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 15, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Re nest for Legislation re: Affordable Housing Invento : <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Planner dated <br /> May 5, 2000 requesting the Board support amendments to MGL, Chapter <br /> 40B to include counting mobile homes and rental voucher units toward a <br /> town's affordable housing inventory. <br /> In her letter of May 8, 2000, Representative Caffyn suggested the Board <br /> send a letter of support for the amendment proposal to her and to Senator <br /> Rauschenbach. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to remit a letter of support in <br /> request for legislation relative to the affordable housing inventory to <br /> Representative Caffyn, Senator Rauschenbach, and when <br /> appropriate, the newly elected State Representative. <br /> Motion seconded by Shcectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Request of Mashpee Night at the Pops: <br /> The Mashpee Night at the Pops scheduled to be held on Saturday,July <br /> 29`t', with a rain dated of July 30'h, has requested the Selectmen grant a <br /> one-day wine and malt license, and waive all Town fees associated with <br /> the event with the exception of the cost for Police and Fire personnel. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the request of the <br /> Mashpee Community Concert Committee, tnc.,and approve the one- <br /> day wine and malt license, and waiver of all Town fees as specified. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Proclamation—VioIence Prevention: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to proclaim May as Violence <br /> Prevention Month, and urge all citizens to support the efforts to <br /> eliminate violence within the community. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
