6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 1.9,2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Human Services—Request for Assistance: <br /> Louis Patrick, Coordinator of the Mashpee Human Services was present to <br /> request the Board assist the burden of expense in her department. It was <br /> noted that the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition (CCNSC) <br /> currently shares a space with Human Services,but is planning to move as <br /> of.tune 30,2000 due to budgetary constraints. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to remit correspondence to the `new parent' <br /> organization of the CCNSC relative to the relocation process. The <br /> program in beneficial to the Town of Mashpee and should remain in the <br /> area. <br /> In an effort to relieve the burden of expense between the two departments, <br /> the Board agreed to request that surplus funding from the Barnstable <br /> County Assembly of Delegates be credited toward Human Services. <br /> �l <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to earmark the sum of$18,000 <br /> to Human Services utilizing surplus funding from the Assembly of <br /> Delegates subject to the approval of the Board of Health. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Ms. Patrick discussed new program initiatives that will be built into future <br /> budget needs and projections_ <br /> Acceptance of Bid—Kennel Contract: <br /> The Animal Control Officer remitted correspondence to the Board in a <br /> memorandum dated June 13,2000 related to the Town's Kennel Contract. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve and accept the bid <br /> received from the Animal tnn for the Town's Kennel Contract as <br /> .recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
