3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 7, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Board Secretary: <br /> The Personnel Board recommended two candidates for the position of <br /> Board Secretary as noted in the memorandum of August 1, 2000 to the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to appoint Nella Stevens and <br /> Jean Giliberti to the position of Board Secretary for a term to expire <br /> 6/30/01. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Appointment of Parking Control Officers: <br /> Correspondence was received from Acting Chief of Police Maurice <br /> Cooper dated July 27, 2000 recommending the appointment of Parking <br /> Control Officers. <br /> The above referenced appointment was deferred for additional <br /> information. Compliance issues relative to adequate handicap parking <br /> spaces will also be addressed in future discussions. <br /> Appointment of Police Department Matron: <br /> Acting Chief Cooper recommended the following individual for <br /> appointment. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to appoint Beverly Allison to the <br /> position of Police Department Matron for a term to expire 6/30/01. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
