7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 7, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Vanasse Han gen Brustlin: <br /> Conceptual Plans for Great Neck Road North/Route 130: <br /> Vanassc Hangen Brustlin representatives Joseph Mang-1 and Paul <br /> Nauyokas were present to review conceptual plans relative to <br /> improvements to the Great Neck Road/Route 130 intersection project with <br /> the Board of Selectmen. Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was in <br /> attendance. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the conceptual alternatives. Concept <br /> No. 2, the traffic signal system control with modifications was deemed the <br /> most appropriate for the subject site location. The Board related concern <br /> with respect to accessing the existing residential site,the country store,the <br /> future memorial park and emergency access and egress. It was suggested <br /> that the land development firm review the parking area configuration <br /> when a definitive preliminary design is being developed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept conceptual design No. <br /> 2,traffic signal system control with modifications, and to reasonable <br /> reconfigure the residential driveway access. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> VHB--Contract Amendment#2: <br /> The Director of Public Works recommended the Board approve Contract <br /> Amendment No. 2, Labor$5250 and Expenses $250 to VHB for work <br /> associated to the Route 130/Great Neck Road North Transportation <br /> Improvement Project. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve Contract <br /> Amendment No. 2 with Vanasse Hangen Brustlin,Inc. in the amount <br /> of$5,500 for work associated to the Route 130/Great Neck Road <br /> North Transportation Improvement Project as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
