k 7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 10, 2000 <br /> Recess: 9:10 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 9:18 p.m. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of Conservation Grant Request: <br /> The Selectmen reviewed the AmeriCorps application for a community <br /> garden proposed in the area of John's Pond Park. Conservation <br /> Commission member Michael Talbot discussed the potential to provide a <br /> valuable service to the community. It was noted that the area is presently <br /> being used as a public recreational site. <br /> .Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the AmeriCorps <br /> Application for a Community Garden as outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Pay Differential—Assistant Town Accountant: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Accountant dated September <br /> 26, 2000 recommending that Doreen Guild, Assistant Town Accountant <br /> receive a pay differential as per union contract effective October 5, 2000 <br /> through October 30, 2000 during her absence. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the Pay Differential <br /> of Doreen Guild,Assistant Town Accountant to Step 1 effective <br /> Thursday, October 5,2000 through Monday, October 30, 2000 as <br /> recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
